National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) Examination: Your Gateway to Architectural Studies

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) in India for admission to five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree programs.

Here’s a breakdown of the details about the NATA examination:

Eligibility:

Passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognized board.
Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (45% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
Exam Pattern:

The exam is conducted in two parts:
Part A: Pen and Paper based (2 hours)
Part B: Computer Based Test (CBT) (1 hour)
Part A tests drawing aptitude and observation skills.
Part B tests cognitive skills, general knowledge, logical reasoning, and critical thinking ability.


Syllabus:

The syllabus for NATA covers a wide range of topics, including:

Drawing: Ability to draw, shade, sketch, and use perspective.
Observation: Ability to observe and analyze objects, spaces, and relationships.
Logical Reasoning: Ability to identify patterns, relationships, and solve problems.
Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and make sound judgments.
General Knowledge: Current affairs, basic science, and social science.

Registration starts: March 1, 2024
Exam dates: April 6 onwards (Saturdays and Sundays)
